A Typical 3D Printing Project
This is explaining the process of a typical 3D printing process. Sharing some ideas, my specific setup and the tools that helps me. There is even a little video clip to enjoy ;-)

OctoPrint Need Help In this article from All3D published 30th of October we learn that Gina Häussge, who is OctoPrint’s creator and full-time maintainer, has suffered a significant loss in funding. It’s that bad that without us chipping in it will be difficult to continue the project - one of the absolute main player in the 3D printing community. For Sure! We need to chip in and help Gina!
The Nicest 3D Print assignment Today I am printing a little something for someone’s birthday. That is always the nicest things to print. It is currently, at the very moment when I am writing this, about 92% done. It’s a very nice type of 3D print job - only 1 hour and 21 minutes. The result doesn’t look too bad at all, some stringing, but not bad at all! Fingers crossed....
A Little Follow-up So, during the last prints that I wrote about in the earlier post, I ran into an issue on the Prusa Mini+. All of a sudden, the Octoprint lost the connection to the printer. It might have happened before but then I just had to refresh or, at most, restart the page to fix it. This time I restarted the page during the print and then, even after the print was done, I tried to connect....
Annoying… Yesterday when I was busy with 3D printing I ran all of a sudden into issues. While printing with the Prusa Mini+ printer I lost the connection between Octoprint (hosted on Raspberry Pi Zero 2 W). I noticed first on the web-frontend, that is how I monitor the progress. Raspberry Pi… I was going through the troubleshooting guide accessible from Octoprint. It did not resolve anything; it basically suggested changing the existing settings for Serial Port and Baudrate....
Today’s 3D Printing Jobs Today I am running 2 3D print jobs at the same time, a cable winder organizer on the Creality Ender 3 v2 and then an airduct on (and for) my Prusa Mini+ printer. The cable winder job on the Ender printer had a difficult start, first layer was giving issues. It was sticking OK, but the problem was that it was pushing around surplus filament on the print bed....

As published here on 3DPI's site: Are you ready? Let’s get started ! Welcome to 3DPI's Beginner’s Guide to 3D Printing. Whether you are new to 3D printing technology or just looking to close a few knowledge gaps, we’re glad you stopped by. By now, most of us have heard, at some level, about the potential of 3D printing. But with this guide we are offering insights into the history and the reality of 3D printing — the processes, materials and applications — as well as measured thoughts on where it might be heading....
Adaptions I am busy doing some adaptions to this sites. I initially started designing it with the idea of replacing my Daily update site. But I started re-thinking that idea… How about if this could be the new IamPrinting.xyz site instead? Practical and Ideas Working with Hugo Working with Hugo and in Markdown brings some new challenges. Here below are the two ways of adding images and how to include HTML tags in Markdown....
Here we go, the new site with the new Hugo theme…
