Update on Recent Developments

Man oh man! It was much too long since last update. My last blog post was on the 5th of October… I can not believe it’s been almost 3 months. I wrote about the latest version of the firmware and the bootloader of my Prusa Mini+ printer. I recently checked it, it is still the valid and current version.

So, what’s happened the last 3 months on my 3D printer universe? Crazy much has happened. In fact, everything has changed. My whole 3D printing crib was seriously updated, changed, remodelled, transformed…well yes, you get the idea. Now I am sitting in a more professional area doing my 3D printing projects thus.

Additionally, I have two new printers which makes it to four 3D printers in total. They are all fitting perfectly in one newly installed rack. The rack have three sections - 2 mini printers on the top section, one enclosed and high temp printing capable printer on the middle section and then I have my ancient Creality Ender 3 v2 (my very first from 2019) printer in the bottom section. The plan is to upgrade it, I have multiple upgrade packages laying around just waiting to be installed. More to come for sure.

My New Machines

Recently I bought the Qidi Q1 Pro printer. I had followed YouTubers about it, monitored the news and done my research about the products from Qidi. Finally there was a great deal that I just could not resist. I will come back with videos and images about it, but so far it’s been a pleasure working with it. I especially like the heated chamber and the high temperature that the extruder can produce (up to 350 ℃) which enable me to print with a complete new set of materials. More to come…

My other new printer, of which I actually received today. I ordered it on the 4th of December and I received it 2 weeks later thus. I was prepared, with the great price deal they did. I was surely not the only one ordering it, missing such a great offer would have been purely insanity. THe ones of you following along doing the math, knows it is about a mini printer that I am talking about. What else could it be than the great Bambu Lab A1 Mini ? It was shipped in a great package. With the same order I also included a hardened hotend extruder, which arrived about a week ago. It enables me to print up to 320 ℃.

Yes, I will have to leave it at that for now. As you see, a lot happened. I have not even mentioned all the new 3D printing project I have already done. Some great stuff will come here for sure, I have a lot of save material waiting to be published!

Stay tuned.
